Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

Mosh Pit Labs (“Mosh Pit Labs”, “we”, “us”) is an early-stage gaming intelligence service. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use moshpitlabs.com and its services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It describes the service as it works today; as the product changes, we will update this page.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account or sign in, our authentication provider handles your sign-in and shares basic account details with us, such as your email address, your name or display name if you provide one, and an identifier for your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information Google shares for sign-in (such as your name and email address). We do not receive your Google password.

Game identity. If you save a game identity (for example, your Deadlock in-game name, Steam ID or Deadlock account ID in My Games), we store it with your account.

Screenshots you upload. When you use Capture, you choose which gameplay screenshots to upload. We store the image together with technical details about it, such as its file type, size, dimensions and a checksum used to recognize duplicate uploads.

Gameplay information. We store the gameplay statistics and match details extracted from your screenshots (for example, match result, date and time, duration, match ID and per-player stats), along with how confident the extraction was and whether it could be verified.

Player lookups. If you search for a player profile, the identifier you enter (such as a SteamID64 or Deadlock account ID) is used to fetch public match data for that player.

Technical information. Like most websites, our servers and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, request times and error details in order to deliver the service, keep it secure and diagnose problems.

Information you send us. If you contact us, we receive whatever you include in your message.

2. How we use information

  • To create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • To provide Capture: reading your screenshots, extracting gameplay statistics and saving them.
  • To keep your gameplay history and saved game identity so you can view them later.
  • To check extracted results against supported game data sources where available.
  • To operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the service, including the accuracy of extraction.
  • To prevent abuse and protect the security of the service and its users.
  • To respond to you and, where needed, to contact you about your account or the service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Screenshots and gameplay evidence

Gameplay screenshots can contain more than your own stats. They may show in-game names, player names, account identifiers, match IDs, scores, statistics and other information visible in the game, including information about other players in the match. Please upload only screenshots you are comfortable sharing with us.

Uploaded screenshots are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible; they are not published on the site. The statistics we extract are stored separately from the original image and linked to your account.

We may check extracted results against supported game data sources, such as public game APIs. For Deadlock, we currently use the community-run deadlock-api.com, which means match identifiers and related details may be sent to that service to look up match data. In the future we may use other evidence sources or automated analysis tools to verify or enrich your gameplay information.

4. Service providers

We rely on third-party service providers to run Mosh Pit Labs. They process information on our behalf, or as part of the service they provide, to the extent needed to operate the product. Currently these include:

  • Clerk — account sign-up, sign-in and session management.
  • Google — “Sign in with Google”, if you choose to use it.
  • Vercel — hosting for the website.
  • Render — hosting for our application servers and database.
  • Cloudflare (R2) — private storage for uploaded screenshots.
  • deadlock-api.com — a community Deadlock data service used for player lookups and match verification.

The providers we use may change as the service grows. Each provider’s handling of information is also governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

5. How information is shared

We share information only as described in this policy, including:

  • With service providers that help us operate the service (see above).
  • When we believe disclosure is required by law, or reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of our users, the public or Mosh Pit Labs.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the information transferred.
  • With your direction or consent.

Mosh Pit Labs does not currently sell personal information.

6. Your choices

  • You decide which screenshots, if any, to upload.
  • You can add, change or remove your saved game identity at any time in My Games.
  • You can manage your sign-in details through the account menu when signed in.
  • You can contact us at moshpitlabs@gmail.com to ask about the information associated with your account or to request that we delete your account and its data. We will respond to reasonable requests.

7. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, such as keeping uploaded screenshots in private storage and requiring sign-in to access your saved gameplay. No online service can guarantee perfect security, however.

We keep account and gameplay information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and as required for legal, security or operational reasons.

8. Children

Mosh Pit Labs is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add features or change providers. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the service after an update means the updated policy applies.
